Introducing Mr Nathan Gatt
Nathan is our incredible Program Coordinator and one of our talented band tutors and conductors.
Nathan’s interest in music started at an early age and began with him teaching himself piano and guitar at the age of 7. Whilst he always stayed in touch with the piano, he also explored electronic music production and DJing in his late teens and early 20’s.
In 2013 Nathan started playing bass which quickly became his primary instrument. In 2017 he graduated from the Australian Institute of Music with a Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Performance majoring in double and electric bass.
He has since toured internationally 4 times to over 20 countries, played in countless bands, and recorded a number of albums.
Musically, he is most interested in World Music (especially Brazilian music), Jazz and Blues.
He performs regularly around Sydney and loves sharing his love for music with eager young musicians.
