Introducing an incredible tutor and conductor, Charles Sundborn
Charles Sundborn is a Saxophonist, composer and educator living and working on Darug land. Charles graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2019 with a Bachelor in Jazz Performance.
Charles’ first exposure to the wonder of music was through his grandfather David Clegg, a renowned Sydney Jazz Pianist, as well as the excitement of film and video game music growing up. Since then, Charles has continued to pursue his love of music through his own experimental solo work, such as his recently released album ‘Sirens’.
As an educator, Charles endeavours to instil the same passion and curiosity for music in his students that he himself experienced (and experiences) so profoundly. Charles is in a constant state of awe at the curiosity, creativity and joy of his young students, and seeing them develop in to fine young musicians is a pleasure.
